Driving by SouthSide Park, I had the Nikon AW130 in the car, and I couldn’t resist a few shots of the Winter Wonderland that had just returned with the recent snowfall.

The AW130’s white balance and color is just fine. This is actually how it looked. It was an over-cast, low-light kind of morning.

The ducks and the geese didn’t seem to mind though, and the Nikon AW130’s zoom lens came in handy to catch them out on the pond.

These photos are all un-edited with regard to white balance and color, whereas yesterday, in my post Winter Returns to Woodstock with a Heavy Snowfall Overnight – Nikon AW130, most of the photos had a custom white balance done in Lightroom (hence why they look a little warmer).

Over-all, the Nikon AW130 performed very nicely. Focus is quick and accurate, and the zoom lens makes the AW130 worth carrying instead of my Samsung S5 (plus it’s waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof… all great qualities on a blustery, winter day like today).
